I read in the Record-Bee that we could capture federal dollars, our dollars, to beautify the facades of one or more storefronts in Lakeport.
Are you kidding? Is that what we want to provide matched funds for? When in reality most of us cannot afford to buy anything in the store.
Will this beautification provide in-county jobs for unemployed county residents? Will the materials used come from Lake County? I think not. Take a look at the food lines. We are either in a depression or rapidly becoming a third-world county in a third-world country.
