I am writing to extend our sincere gratitude to the city of Clearlake Oaks Northshore Fire Department and CAL FIRE for their prompt and heroic response to the fire at 500 Old Long Valley Road that occurred in the afternoon of June 23.
It is clear the firefighters leading the initial charge did so with considerable risk to their own personal safety.
All personnel did an outstanding job in containing the fire and minimizing the damage. Were it not for their training and leadership, we might have lost much more.
We are lucky to have such professional and well-trained fire personnel to protect our community.
