I was very moved by your article “Hungry for help” in the July 20 issue of South County News. (Thank you Ben Mullin.)
However, I was quite literally shocked that I could not find a single phone number or mailing address to contact any of the agencies mentioned in the article.
I”m sure many others read the article and wanted to help but were left with a feeling of “oh well.”
I consider myself to be “web savvy,” so it did not take long to find a phone number and P.O. Box mailing address for Catholic Charities in Middletown. I”ll be contacting them today.

Perhaps Ben could do a follow-up on the article and list a few phone numbers of the various agencies that serve our area. Or, perhaps a regular little corner of your paper to list local services for our neighbors in need.
