UKIAH — The Bill Binns Machine Shop Modifieds will be back at Ukiah Speedway on Saturday night along with the second appearance of the Nor-Cal Hard Tops.
The Nor Cal Hard Top Association is comprised of a group of nostalgic race car buffs who have taken their antique race cars out of their garages, replaced worn-out rusty parts, rebuilt engines and literally brought these hard tops back to life.
Most of these old-timers race the cars themselves and move around the track at speeds sometimes faster than these cars went back in the ”30s, ”40s and ”50s. They are fun to watch and allow veteran race fans to drift back to the “good old days.” The last time the Nor-Cal Hard Tops were at Ukiah was on June 18.
The Modifieds and Hard Tops will be joined by the Airport Auto Brokers Legends Cars, the Bud Bombers and the 4-Bangers.
Gates open at the Ukiah Speedway at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.
