LOWER LAKE — The Lake County Theater Company production of “Musical of Musicals, the Musical,” written by Eric Rockwell and Joanne Bogart, takes place this weekend in Weaver Auditorium in the Lower Lake Historic Schoolhouse Museum.
Viewers are invited to find out if June (Barbara Clark) ever gets the rent paid, if Jitter (Rod Levenduski), the cruel landlord forces her to marry him, if Billy the hero (Tim Barnes) comes through and if Abby (Sue Garrett) really gives good advice.
The musical numbers are based on various well-known composers, from Gershwin to Sondheim. The performers do various skits, always coming back to the question: will June pay the rent?
Performances take place at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Ticket prices are $15 reserved seating and $13 general seating with a $2 discount for seniors, students and LCTC members.
Tickets can be purchased at Catfish Books in Lakeport, Shannon Ridge Winery in Clearlake Oaks and Griffin”s Furniture in Clearlake or at the door.
