YOLO COUNTY — A Clearlake man was killed Friday in a vehicle rollover incident at occurred in an unincorporated area of Yolo County near the county line. Adam Connelly, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident that happened around 6 p.m.

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), Woodland area, Connelly was driving in a southerly direction on a mountainous, unnamed dirt road off of County Road 40. He was allegedly driving at an excessive rate of speed for the roadway conditions. He apparently lost control of the 2006 Chevy Silverado and the vehicle overturned.

CHP said as the vehicle was rolling, Connelly, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the Silverado and the vehicle came to rest on top of him. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Connelly”s passenger, Melody Staats, 29, of Clearlake, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital via REACH air ambulance.
