UPPER LAKE — The Upper Lake High School cross country team is hosting a dinner and movie night on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. in the school”s multi-purpose room.

Dinner, an “around the world menu,” will be served from 7-8 p.m., and then, starting at 8 p.m., the team will present “Bicycle Dreams,” a film by producer Stephen Auerbach. The film won many awards and focuses on the Race Across America (RAAM), in which cyclists race across the country in fewer than 10 days. A second, newly-released film will also be shown.

The cost is $12 at the door or $10 if tickets are purchased from any team runner by Aug. 12. Seniors and children younger than 12 cost $8, and kids 5 and younger are free.

Proceeds go to defer the transportation and team costs for the Cougar cross country runners. Call coach John Woods at 972-2142 or e-mail him at ulcccoach@gmail.com for more information.
