Benefits are being cut. We paid for an insurance policy for retirement out of our gross wages all our working lives. It is a trust fund, but Congress stole the money and paid no interest. Not one cent.
California raided the State Public Employees Retirement several years ago of several billion dollars. But the voters of California passed a proposition that forbid them from ever doing it again.
PERS makes billions from investments in the stock market. If the thieves in Washington had run Social Security like CALPERS, Social Security would be solvent for many years to come. The people in Washington are a bunch of liars, cheats and thieves. More later.
