MIDDLETOWN — Without a Net will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at Twin Pine Casino south of Middletown. The band presents a collection of vintage rock ”n” roll standards, as well as original songs.
According to band member Bill Bordisso, all members of the band are dedicated to Lake County and donate time, energy and money to local causes. They have performed for numerous community events from the Kelseyville Education Foundation to HIV/AIDS projects to radio stations and service clubs.
Bill MacDougall, the bass player, song writer and vocalist, is the superintendent for the Konocti Unified School District.
Herb Gura, the drummer, song writer and vocalist, hosts a political talk show on local radio station KPFZ 88.1 FM and is a four-time elected member of the Konocti school board.
Art Frazee, guitarist and vocalist, has been playing music since his teens and joined his first professional band at age 17. He is active with his church and said that he has more fun playing with this band than any other.
Heidi Morgan performs on keyboards and vocals. Her day job is a professor of psychology and counseling at Yuba College”s Clear Lake Campus.
Carl Stewart guitarist and vocalist, writes and records original material. He was signed to a Warner Brothers contract when he played with his band in Los Angeles. He is also an educator for the Konocti Unified School District.
Bordisso plays accordion, saxophone, banjo, percussion and vocals. During the ”70s, he played professionally in various popular acoustic bands in the San Francisco Bay Area. During the day, he teaches fourth graders to be passionate about life.
