LOWER LAKE — A solo-vehicle rollover on Morgan Valley Road Sunday resulted in the drug arrest of a passenger in the vehicle. Major and moderate injuries were sustained by the driver and a second passenger, respectively.
According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), at approximately 11:40 a.m. Nora Shipley, 19, of Bellevue, Wash., was driving a 1988 Hyundai westbound on Morgan Valley Road at an unknown speed. CHP said for unknown reasons Shipley turned the vehicle to the right causing it to exit the roadway and strike an embankment.
The vehicle overturned resulting in major injuries to Shipley and moderate injuries to her passenger, identified as Jed Irish, 21, of Bellevue, Wash. Shipley was flown via REACH to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital while Irish was taken to St. Helena Hospital Clear Lake via ground ambulance.
CHP said a third passenger, Jeired Nedrow, 21, of Bellevue, Wash., was not injured. Nedrow was contacted at the scene and was allegedly found in possession of a large quantity of Ecstasy and a small amount of hashish. Nedrow was arrested at the scene and later booked into Lake County Jail and is being held on $50,000 bail, according to the CHP. The incident remains under the investigation of officers M. Crutcher and E. Coddington.
