UKIAH — Auto racing returns to the Ukiah Speedway on Saturday night with the Airport Auto Brokers Late Models as the special event. This will be the fifth of six races for the Late Models at Ukiah.
Mike Doss of Upper Lake won the first two AABLM Late Model events at Ukiah, while Oregon driver David Miller won the third. Corey James of Laytonville finished first in the last race held in early July.
Miller also won at All American Speedway in Roseville, and Randy Houston from Salem, Oregon, won the race at Shasta Raceway Park as well as the last race at Redwood Acres Raceway in Eureka. Trevor Cristiani of Ukiah was the victor in the other Redwood Acres Raceway event and is currently the AABLM points leader.
Also on the racing card Saturday are the Bud bombers, the Speedy Signs street stocks, the Airport Auto Brokers Legends Cars and the 4-Bangers.
Saturday night is also “Truck Driver Appreciation Night” at the races. A special get-together will offer free hot dogs, chips and a drink from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., and the Truck Parade Lap around the track begins at 7 p.m. There will be prize drawings and discounted tickets to the races for all commercial license holders.
