I attended the Miss Lake County pageant on Saturday evening and was not impressed by the way it went. As a supporter and sponsor myself, it outraged me to hear a question asked that alienated not only one of the most generous community supporters we have, but also one of the pageant”s biggest and longest-term sponsors as they sat in the front row. This showed no class on behalf of the pageant and took away from all of the hard work and effort that the contestants put into it. I believe an apology is due to Lakeport McDonald”s and the Norcio family. Someone should really take a hard look at some of the questions asked. This wasn”t the only inappropriate question asked. This behavior will make me and others think twice about the support given to this event. It”s a shame considering how much work all of these young women have put into this. They deserve something much better and Lake County does also. This has always been a great event and I hope will continue to be in the future.
