There”s an old adage that a people get the government they deserve. With the Iowa straw poll and President Obama”s bus tour, we are going to get to listen to more than a year”s worth of name-calling and mudslinging before the 2012 Presidential election. Politicians have a low opinion of the voters” intelligence, so they use bumper sticker slogans as solutions to very complex problems.
It is up to the voters to educate themselves on the issues, not by just following the party line, but by checking sources from across the political spectrum. It is time for voters to become truly independent of a broken system, not by learning the difference between the political right and left, but reality”s right or wrong.
