LAKEPORT — Some 700 people filled Main Street Friday evening for Taste of Lakeport. The event featured county wines paired with hors d”oeuvres from local restaurants inside downtown Lakeport shops and along Main Street.
People grabbed food or tasted wines at 21 stations in the early evening and then gathered for a street dance later that night.
Taste of Lakeport is the Lakeport Main Street Association”s largest fundraiser of the year. Gross proceeds were $30,000 with net proceeds estimated at $16,000, which would be the event”s best amount in 14 years.
