FORESTVILLE — El Molino rallied to win the final two games in a 25-20, 21-25, 19-25, 25-18, 15-13 non-league varsity volleyball victory over the Kelseyville Knights on Tuesday night in Forestville.
Kelseyville spent 2 ? hours on the court in its season opener.
“It was a good opener for us,” Kelseyville coach Donelle McCallister said. “We petered out a little at the end, but we played pretty well overall.”
Kelseyville never had the lead in the final game although the Knights did rally to tie it at 11.
Jennifer Green led Kelseyville with 20 kills and three aces. Abby McQueen, a freshman, had seven kills in her high school debut while teammate Jeannie Johnson added six kills and a team-best three blocks. Bonnie McCallister added 12 digs and four aces.
Kelseyville won the junior varsity match 17-25, 26-24, 15-12. The Knights rallied from a 10-point deficit in the second game behind the serving of Eryka Dale.
