KELSEYVILLE — A Kelseyville man died nearly an hour after being thrown from his motorcycle following a two-vehicle collision Monday morning north of downtown Kelseyville.

Emergency personnel airlifted David Criswell, 57, to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital because of major injuries sustained in a crash at 10:35 a.m. at the intersection of Park Drive and Soda Bay Road in Kelseyville, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Criswell succumbed to from the crash injuries just after 11:40 a.m., the CHP said.

The CHP reported the crash occurred when Criswell”s 1998 Honda Shadow struck a 1996 Honda Accord. The Accord, driven by Patrick Donley, 47, of Walnut Creek, had been traveling southbound on Park Drive and proceeded into the intersection.

Donley and his passenger were uninjured. Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the collision, which remains under investigation.
