LAKEPORT — The Lakeport Volunteer Firefighters Association will be hosting its second annual dinner, auction and dance at the Lake County Fairgrounds on Oct. 22.

One of the featured raffle prizes will be a 14-foot tandem axle flatbed utility trailer donated by Doug and Pam Morris of Classic Auto Body and Lakeport Trailer and U-Haul.

The Morris” have been in business in Lakeport for more than 30 years, providing exceptional support to community causes around the lake. Their donation will be a large part of the raffle and the trailer can be viewed at the Lakeport Fire Protection District at 445 N. Main St. Tickets can be purchased at the firehouse and cost $10 each.

The winning ticket will be drawn at the event, but the ticket holder need not be present to win.

The evening will be a gala event that includes dinner, live and silent auction and dancing to the LC Diamonds.

There are several ways to help with this fundraiser.

Purchase dinner tickets for $30 per person or $300 for sponsored tables.

Donations for both the live and silent auctions are needed. All donations large or small are greatly appreciated.

For donation items that need to be picked up, call the Lakeport Fire Protection District at 263-4396 or drop items off Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Donations can also be mailed to the Lakeport Fire Protection District at 445 N. Main St., Lakeport, CA 95453. Tickets are also available at the fire station.

All proceeds go toward the purchase of safety and training equipment for the Lakeport Volunteer Firefighters Association and the Matt Black Scholarship fund.

The Lakeport Volunteer Firefighters Association is a not-for-profit group with a focus on helping and giving back to its community.
