A letter to the editor written by G. Starin to the Record-Bee published on Tuesday, implies that someone offended by the speech of others, who expresses that they are offended by the speech of those others, is somehow unaware of the First Amendment and prohibited by the First Amendment of their right to free speech to express their opinion is nonsensical.

That reading of the First Amendment would mean that no one could ever object to anything.

The First Amendment prohibits the government from making a law prohibiting any speech. This was not the case.

The letters you object to came from people like you, who have the same rights as you, that you would deny to them.
