COBB — Clear Lake Callayomi Mason Lodge is hosting the eighth annual Masonic Scholarship Golf Tournament on Saturday at Adams Springs Golf Course on Cobb Mountain. Play begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
The sign-up deadline is Thursday and the field is limited to 60 golfers. The entry fee is $75 if you want a golf cart or $65 without cart. Profits from the tournament will allow for four $750 scholarships to be awarded to graduating Lake County seniors in the Middletown and Konocti school districts at the conclusion of the 2011-12 school year. Although four scholarships were budgeted this year, nine were awarded at the conclusion of the 2010-11 school year. Four were awarded to Middleton High graduates, three to Lower Lake High graduates, and two to Lewis School graduates in Lower Lake.
Entry fee includes lunch, tee prizes, closest-to-the-hole and long-drive contests, a Reno hole and raffle tickets.
There will be prizes for first and second place.
