Charlie Sheen, who has been in the spotlight for awhile now, with mostly negative comments, actually has done more to save countless jobs across this country than any other single person in the nation.
Starring in the TV show, Two and Half Men, he has saved the three major TV networks from going the way of the dodo bird.
Like the show or not, it, more than any other show, has brought the important task of allowing adult language describing sexual topics to the major networks. Those networks can now compete with the cable networks, something that had to be done in order for them to remain competitive in this market.
The jobs saved by this are countless, as the viewers of all the major networks were on a downhill slide and the number of commercials for each show were almost given enough time to equal the shows contents.
Now, the networks will be able to compete with the competition and can charge more for the commercial time sold.
That is their lifeblood. Mr. Sheen”s actions will also allow for this country”s views to see and enjoy more uncensored shows from around the world.
I am sure that a percentage of the viewers and users of the major networks offerings are appalled at this new adult level of entertainment. They can turn the channel and find shows that bring the level they are more comfortable with.
Now maybe if our leadership in D.C. can bring the level of its actions to save and create new jobs, like Mr. Sheen and his show has, we might get quicker relief from the poor job market. So many of our citizens are suffering.
