SANTA ROSA — The Sonoma Academy Coyotes turned back the Upper Lake Cougars 12-0 in non-league varsity boys” soccer action Wednesday afternoon in Santa Rosa.
Sonoma Academy led 7-0 at the half.
Upper Lake coach Kyle Moore said the Cougars (1-5) received solid play from forward Ivan Lopez on offense and from Byron Garcia on defense.
“He was really hustling,” Moore said of Lopez. “He was pushing the ball up, doing a good job.
“Garcia holds our backfield together,” Moore added.
Upper Lake travels to Geyserville on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
