MIDDLETOWN — A horse had to be put down after being hit by a pickup truck on Monday.
The driver of a 2006 Chevy pickup traveling north on Highway 29, just south of Bradford Road in Middletown, collided with a horse that ran into the roadway at 8:57 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol Officer, Joe Wind. The driver was uninjured. Alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor in the incident.
