UPPER LAKE — Sonoma Academy scored five times in the first 25 minutes en route to an 8-0 win over the Upper Lake Cougars in non-league varsity girls” soccer action Wednesday in Upper Lake.
“We had a few shots on goal,” Upper Lake coach Mike Sheets said. “Their defense was pretty tough.”
The Coyotes led 5-0 at the half.
Amber Drake entered the game at keeper late in the first half and played the entire second half.
“She did a pretty good job,” Sheets said.
Turning in solid play for the Cougars were Hannah Wright, Tanya Carter, Shayla Ayala and Shayla Wyman, according to Sheets.
Upper Lake (3-5-1) hosts Clear Lake (9-2-2) in a non-league game Friday at 4:30 p.m.
“Come out and support your Cougars,” Sheets said.
