Since the time when this country”s citizens elected Reagan, unnamed, powerful and wealthy souls in this country have championed the doctrine and suggested actions based on the economics “Chicago School Policy,” to promote their views, belief”s and self-interests, giving them the right to dictate the life and living standard levels of the middle/working class of our nation. They gave little worth to what each man and woman held dearly to one”s self as an American citizen.
They gave little worth to the pride, compassion and courage that lay so deeply within those they think cannot govern correctly. To those standards they felt only themselves, righteously, hold.
During these troubled times when so many of our citizens are feeling the fear, sadness and desperation that comes with any downturn in our nation?s economy, we as a people were ripe to their long-term planned takeover of leadership that many in the past had hoped to achieve by now. The level of this down-turn may have seemed like the time to forcefully make their move.
Many in our D.C.-elected leadership sold out to that side, as well as a large percentage of Wall Street and Corporate America CEO”s in its control. The use of our nations former guardians of the truth, our different types of news media that no longer are as diversified, as to having more independent ownership across our nation.
This class war with the working-class taking a good beating over the years and attacks on unions, small farmers, small town business, liberal arts and basic curriculum public schools, the powers that be have given little respect to how the middle or working class has not forgotten our forbearers efforts in those righteous conflicts that cost so many so dearly to insure each American citizen that followed them enjoyed the same, if not better, standards that they held so clearly themselves.
They forgot power of that inner feeling inside, by most all the members of our beer drinking, middle/working class, when any person or group pushes us to a point that enough is enough!
I think the middle-class is very close to reaching that level and they warned of this in our last election, yelling their desire for change.
This battle cry was not to change our basic government, but, to change our the direction our beloved nation has been heading in.
It is not a cry the good old days, but a statement for the rebirth of honest, truth and fair play that made us the great nation we once were.
You can feel this in the middle-class homes, work places, schools and churches.
The Republican party has put on stage a line-up of its candidates and push forth issues that attract groups of single issue voters who wish to prohibit this or that, but never really change how the mainstream Americans want this nation governed.
Not one of them hold the talent or skills to bring healing to our wounded country or to use our taxpayer dollars to bring relief to those hit hardest during these troubled times or to bring the lost pride our nation once held in the eyes of the rest of the world.
If that party cannot put the standards of our forefathers and what we are as a nation at the top of the list, then step aside and let those who can, change things, until it is accomplished.
I know many members of the Republican party are just as dismayed at what has become the grand old party.
They detest the downgrading and funding of those great civil programs we have all used and needed, like Social Security, Medicare, Federal Highway System, Department of Education, the Post Office, etc.
True leaders are those who motivate the citizens of a nation to being all the special qualities we hold so dearly and deeply in our hearts. The beauty of this nation was never found on Wall Street.
