CLEARLAKE — The preliminary trial in the murder case of Skylar Rapp, 4, continued Wednesday with more testimony for the prosecution. Proceedings are scheduled to continue today and Friday in Lake County Superior Court Department 4 in Clearlake before Judge Stephen O. Hedstrom.
Defendants Kevin Stone, 29, Paul Braden, 21, and Orlando Lopez, 23, face one count of murder and as many as five counts of attempted murder in connection with a June 18 shooting in which Rapp was fatally shot.
Five other victims suffered gunshot wounds in the incident.
Wednesday”s proceedings saw Lake County District Attorney Don Anderson”s lead investigator in the case, Tom Clements, of the Clearlake Police Department, take the stand. Clements testified to information obtained through the investigation of the June 18 shooting including, but not limited to, statements taken from the defendants in the days following the incident.
Stone is being represented by Komnith Moth. Doug Rhoades is representing Braden and Lopez”s counsel is Stephen Carter.
