Trust is a beautiful thing. I try to base all my personal relationships on trust. But I”m not so sure I want it to be the basis for public policy.

The Republicans think we should keep the tax cuts for the wealthy, as they may use some of this money to create jobs.

That”s the argument. President Obama”s Jobs Bill takes some tax cuts and loopholes away from the wealthy and awards them to companies that actually create jobs.

Now, I”m not a gambling woman. But if I were, I would put my money on the plan that rewards the companies creating the jobs, rather than the plan that rewards the wealthy in the hope that they may decide to use the money to create jobs. Let”s take the guesswork out of it. Congressmen get off your butts and pass that Jobs Bill.
