LAKEPORT — Three men were arrested on sexual assault charges early Friday morning after a woman flagged down a Lake County Sheriff”s Office (LCSO) Deputy.
After flagging down the deputy in the 1000 block of Armstrong Street, the 24-year-old woman told the deputy the suspects were driving away in a vehicle and pointed out the vehicle. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and detained the occupants while Lakeport Police Department (LPD) officers contacted the victim.
An investigation revealed the victim was socializing with the suspects in the early morning hours at her residence. The victim said she was acquainted with the suspects and had met them the past evening at a local bar. She said the suspects made sexual advances toward her. When she told them to stop, she said she was held down by the three suspects and was sexually assaulted by at least one of them.
The victim identified three of the four occupants as the suspects who assaulted her after the deputy stopped the vehicle. Isaiah Rodgers, 26, Ajai Rodgers, 22, and Leandro Guerrero, 21, all from Lakeport, were booked into the Hill Road Correctional Facility on charges of assault to commit rape, sexual battery, rape in concert with force or violence and attempted rape.
The fourth occupant of the vehicle was interviewed by LPD officers at the police station and released. The investigation is ongoing.
