LAKEPORT — The Triskela harp trio is returning to Lake County for the third year in a row. Diana Stork, Shawna Spiteri and Portia Diwa will perform Celtic and Latin harp music at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 and 2 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre, located at 275 S. Main St. in Lakeport. The Oct. 23 show will include a special “History of the Harp” presentation at 1:15 p.m.
Opening for Triskela is the a cappella group, Il Mio Divas, singers of Renaissance-era madrigals. The group is made up of women from Lake County under the direction of Claudia Listman.
Il Mio Divas is an outgrowth of the Noble Singers, the group that sings at the annual Renaissance Christmas Pageant and Feast in Middletown every December. These women, who come from a variety of musical and dramatic backgrounds, didn”t want to quit singing when the pageant was over so they formed Il Mio Divas. The group now performs annually at the Lake Renaissance Festival on Memorial Day Weekend in Lower Lake, as part of The Nobles Singers in the Renaissance Christmas Pageant in December and at various local theatrical productions, parties and wineries.
General admission seats cost $20; reserved seats cost $22. Tickets are on sale online at www.SoperReeseTheatre.com. Tickets are also available at the theater box office or by calling 263-0577. The box office is open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and for two hours before showtime on the day of the show.
