I am writing in response to Mandy Feder”s column about the West Memphis Three. I believe she is correct to establish that the West Memphis Three are in fact innocent and the music they listen to had nothing to do with their guilt or innocence.

I do not listen to hard metal such as Metallica and I am not a violent person, nor have I ever been. I don”t think it is morally right for someone to be categorized or stereotyped as something just because of the way they dress, act or by the music they listen to.

I believe that morals are non-existent. There is no such thing as a moral; there are just expectations from society and your community.

The story of the experiences of the West Memphis Three was wrong in a lot of ways.

They didn”t deserve the assumptions they received. They deserved to be treated like you or me. The way they act or their musical preferences or even their personal beliefs should not have affected that.

I am glad justice was finally served, although those boys should have never experienced what they were put through.
