UPDATED:

While reading the column on the “West Memphis Three,” I was reminded of two things that are important to me.

My past and my future are significant to obtain a propitious life; they cannot be returned if lost or modified because of present error.

However, I would not call the music I listen to an “error.” In “The Music Made Them Do It,” I could not conceive the punishment that Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Miskelley Jr. had to suffer because of the ignorant stereotyping used against them.

Their youth was taken from them because of their preference in music.

Does this mean I can be convicted for the gang shooting that occurred in Richmond a couple of weeks ago?

I listen to rap music, so shouldn”t I automatically be added to the persons of interest list?

Music doesn”t mutate someone”s morals. Lyrics of a song will not jostle someone to kill another. The convictions the boys received because of brainless stereotyping is sickening.
