HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE — Caltrans announced Tuesday that the intersection of Highway 29 and Hartmann Road will become a three-way stop starting next week.
Striping will be completed and stop signs will be installed on Monday. California Highway Patrol officers will be on hand to help slow traffic.
The three-way stop signs are intended to reduce the number of crashes at the intersection. The frequency of accidents there has increased recently, according to Caltrans.
Message signs have been placed in the area to alert motorists to the upcoming change. Those warnings will remain in place for at least a week after the change as a reminder to drivers.
