WILLITS — Faith Hornby scored twice and Emily Hayes added another goal as the Clear Lake High School junior varsity girls” soccer team closed out its season with a 3-0 victory over the Willits Wolverines on Wednesday in Willits.

Clear Lake (5-6) led 2-0 after the first half on goals by Hayes and Hornby.

Madison Wynacht, Rory Ottolini and Carina Martinez had assists for the Cardinals.

Clear Lake keeper Jordan Chapin recorded 18 saves.

“Jordan Chapin was just phenomenal tonight,” Clear Lake co-coach Tony Paskaly said. “She was awesome in goal.”

Paskaly said the team will be sending plenty of talent to Clear Lake”s varsity squad next season.

“Our girls just did fantastic,” he said. “We were 5-0 against purely JV teams.

“I just loved these girls,” Paskaly said.
