LAKEPORT — The new Savings Bank of Mendocino County branch in Lakeport should be operational on Dec. 5, with a ribbon cutting and customer appreciation event set for Dec. 12, according to a bank official.
Construction for the future location at 290 S. Main St. has occurred for the past several months and the building appears to be on schedule for the early-December opening, according to Floyd Ross, executive vice president of the bank.
The approximately 3,000-square-foot building will offer additional aspects, such as more space and a drive-thru component, not available at the branch”s current location on leased property at 650 N. Main St., Ross said.
Project costs, excluding land acquisition, were estimated at $1.3 million, Ross said. Roseville-based R.C. Pacific Construction, Inc. is the general contractor.
