VACAVILLE — Northern California is about to experience what attendees at the Los Angeles Music Awards already know. The 21st edition of the long running, red carpet award show recently recognized Cheating Daylight as its 2011 Power Pop Band of the Year.

Cheating Daylight brings its award-winning show, along with special guests, to the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre on Nov. 19.

Cheating Daylight is comprised of former members of The Crosson Brothers, from Vacaville, along with former members of the award-winning rock band, The Lost Boys, from Lake County. The rock quintet features long-time Vacaville standout musicians, Jesse Crosson, 17, on vocals, guitars and keyboards, Kyle Crosson, 15, on lead vocals and Jaden Crosson, 12, on drums.

Cheating Daylight is rounded out by band members who performed with The Lost Boys: Jacob Gill, 16, on vocals and guitar and Connor Gill, 12, on vocals and bass guitar, both from Middletown.

The Crosson Brothers toured throughout Northern California in recent years, while taking time out to record its debut album, “Lights Out,” at R.A.G. Studios in Los Angeles.

The Lost Boys toured extensively, playing hundreds of dates throughout North America. The nationally acclaimed artists won numerous awards, including 2010 Rock Artist of the Year at the Los Angeles Music Awards (LAMA) and 2011 Rock Artist of the Year at the Phoenix Music Awards.

The band also released its third album, the LAMA-nominated “Running Red Lights,” produced by multi-Platinum, multi-Grammy Award winner, David Kershenbaum.

The evening”s performances begin with the pop trio, Ever Ours, featuring singer/songwriter and longtime Fairfield resident, Christine Preston on vocals and guitar, backed by guitarists, Luis Anguiano and Joey Friedlander.

The Honeybee Trio, hailing from Vacaville, will also perform, hot off the heels of its live performance at the Oakland Coliseum for a Raiders game. The trio has won numerous local awards and appeared in multiple publications over the years. Teenagers, Karli Bosler, Natalie Angst and Sarah McElwain, all from Vacaville”s Will C. Wood High School, combine their youthful three-part harmonies with the wardrobe look of the swing era to contemporize the classics from the 1930s and beyond.

Robbie Gardunio and Friends will conclude the special guest portion of the night”s schedule, taking the stage immediately before Cheating Daylight. Gardunio is a teenage guitarist and vocalist who also attends Will C. Wood High School.

VIP tickets are available at a cost of $30 per person with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and include admission to the sound check, a meet and greet with the bands and priority seat selection.

General admission tickets are available at a cost of $25 per person with doors opening at 6 p.m.

The show begins at 7 p.m.
