Too many of us have forgotten what this document really says. Our gratitude for living in this country should be shown by being more involved in insisting on honesty and integrity everywhere.

“For more than two hundred years a great political ideal has been taking form and spreading throughout the earth: governments must derive their powers from the consent of the governed. In renouncing allegiance to the British King on July 4, 1776, the founders of the American nation wrote their enduring article of faith in the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are crated equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute a new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.

“The Right and Duty of Citizens To Take Part In the Government.

“In carrying the spirit of the Declaration of Independence into practice, the American people have applied the following principles: All political power is derived from the people. All public officers who make laws or carry them into execution must be chosen directly or indirectly by the people. The people have the right to alter the forms of government and to determine the Nature and kinds of work undertaken by it.”

It”s time for you to take back our country. Let”s try to do it peacefully by letting our politicians know we”ve had too much of their posturing, greed and manipulation of our constitution and anything else they can think of. It”s time to re-legalize our constitution and insist it be honored. I am grateful to be an American and am a true patriot. I respect the union the flag represents and ask that God Bless The World, not just America. That thought is arrogant and selfish. All those politicians can be replaced. Let”s let them know this.
