MIDDLETOWN — A routine traffic stop in Middletown on Friday morning resulted in the arrest of a Santa Rosa woman on charges of narcotics offenses and the seizure of approximately half of an ounce of methamphetamine.
At approximately 10:20 a.m., a patrol deputy assigned to the Middletown area stopped a white Lexis sedan on Central Park Road near Highway 29 for a vehicle code violation. Detectives with the Sheriff”s Narcotics Task Force were in the area at the time of the stop and arrived to assist.
The driver, Alicia Ramos Caballero, 46, of Santa Rosa, was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance and arrested.
During a search of the vehicle, narcotics detectives located two bags of methamphetamine concealed inside a driver”s door air vent. Each of the two bags contained approximately a quarter of an ounce of methamphetamine. Caballero was transported to the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility where she was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sales, transportation of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
