KELSEYVILLE — The Kelseyville Knights lost middle hitter Jennifer Green to a hand injury in the third game of a 25-18, 25-22, 25-21 varsity volleyball loss to the Cloverdale Eagles on Wednesday in Kelseyville.
Green, who had seven kills in the North Central League I match, made contact with a teammate in the third game and had to leave the court, according to coach Donelle McCallister.
Alex Pruett had five kills for the Knights, who fell to 4-9 in league play. Other team leaders were Abby McQueen with three aces, Ryan Van Housen with two blocks and Mary McCallister with 13 digs.
“The kids played well and did a good job,” McCallister said.
Cloverdale won the junior varsity match 25-17, 21-25, 20-18.
Kelseyville closes out its season tonight at home against Lower Lake. JV action begins at 5 p.m.
