CLEARLAKE — Lake County Sheriff Coroner”s Office identified a body recovered from Clear Lake on Nov. 2 as Anthony Romero Diaz Jr., 58, of Clearlake.
“There has been an autopsy and while the official cause of death is still pending the results of toxicology testing, necropsy reports, etc., the preliminary cause was cited as drowning,” Sheriff”s Coroner Cathy Froio said.
Clearlake Police and medical personnel from Lake County Fire Protection District arrived on the 14100 block of Lakeshore Drive around 2:10 p.m. Nov. 2. Diaz”s unclothed body was located about 10 feet off the shore.
