BLUE LAKES — On Wednesday at 7:38 a.m. the driver of a big rig with a double trailer lost control and sideswiped a car. The rear trailer of the truck overturned.
Thomas Gulyas, 54, of Ukiah was on Highway 20 heading eastbound just west of Scotts Valley Road in the big rig.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officer Joe Wind said Gulyas drove off the right-hand side of the road and overcorrected.
Gulyas sideswiped Roberto Alonso, 28, of Lakeport who was driving westbound in a 2002 Ford Focus.
No injuries were reported as a result of the collision. The Ford Focus was towed and sustained moderate damage, according to the CHP.
The truck trailer was returned to an upright position and no tow was required.
One-way traffic control was in place for approximately one hour.
The collision is under investigation by the CHP.
