I understand that Glenn Neasham will soon appear for sentencing after his recent conviction.

Of course, letters in newspapers are not likely to change the outcome, but I would still like to express my hope that the court will show leniency in the matter.

I will not pretend to know all of the facts or legal ins and outs of the case, but I do think I know something of Glenn himself, and I do not believe there is anything criminal or sinister in his character, or that he is in any way a threat to the public.

I went to school with two of Glenn”s sisters, and have known Glenn and the family he grew up in since we were all children. I would describe the Neasham family that I know simply as good, hardworking and caring people.

In recent years, I have also been a client of Glenn”s firm. I have invested in policies similar to the ones mentioned in the case. At times I have realigned my investment strategy with Glenn”s advice.

I have never once felt that Glenn was doing anything but the best job he could do for me, and I plan to continue to hold those policies.

I know the verdict is being questioned by many and I imagine it will be back in court in the future. But I wonder if Glenn has already been punished enough in any case.

I understand that he has lost his livelihood, his house, medical coverage and other essentials of building a life in today”s world. I hope that he does not also lose his freedom.
