CLEARLAKE OAKS — Jerry Coffman, 56, of Clearlake Oaks suffered minor injuries Wednesday when he crashed his motorcycle on Highway 20 east of Hillside Lane. According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) Clear Lake area, alcohol and or drugs did not appear to factors in the incident.
According to the CHP, Coffman was traveling westbound on Highway 20 when he was distracted and allowed his 2006 Yamaha motorcycle to drift off the right shoulder where he hit an embankment. Coffman, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle. He was transported via ground ambulance to St. Helena Hospital Clear Lake. One-way traffic control was in place while the motorcycle was cleared from the lane of traffic. The incident occurred at approximately 11:47 a.m.
