LAKEPORT — Danny Partida buried two early 3-pointers as the Clear Lake High School junior varsity boys” basketball team surged past Fort Bragg 62-20 in the first round of the Clear Lake Tournament on Friday night in Lakeport.
“We came out on fire,” Clear Lake coach Jeremy Hopkins said.
Clear Lake led 25-9 after one quarter. A 20-2 third quarter put the game away.
Partida led a balanced Clear Lake attack with 12 points and Ootie Lane had nine.
Middletown 50, Cloverdale 19
At Lakeport, fresh-man Cody Chorjel scored 21 points and Brandon Rannells added 10 as the Middletown Mustangs routed Cloverdale in the first round of the Clear Lake Tournament. It was the season opener for Middletown.
Anthonie Guzman had nine points for the Mustangs.
