LAKEPORT — A former Lake County Sheriff”s Office (LCSO) deputy pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of unlawful intercourse with a child younger than the age of 16.
Derik Navarro will face three months in county jail and three years formal probation as part of a plea agreement, according to the state Attorney General”s Office.
The incident occurred between 2005 and 2006, the Attorney General”s Office said.
The LCSO terminated Navarro in April 2007 after investigating allegations of his misconduct.
Navarro”s sentencing hearing is set for Jan. 9 at 8:15 a.m. in Department 3, according to the Attorney General”s Office.
