LAKEPORT — Mitch Seely”s spark off the bench touched off a wildfire of points for the Clear Lake High School junior varsity boys” basketball team in its 87-23 win over Anderson Valley in non-league action Tuesday in Lakeport.

“He came off the bench late in the first quarter and lit a fire,” Clear Lake coach Jeremy Hopkins said of the 13 points the sophomore forward would score in the victory. “He played really well.”

Clear Lake built a 48-17 halftime lead while coasting to its fourth win in as many games this season.

“The reserves played more than the starters,” Hopkins said.

Jordan Chana led the Cardinals with 15 points, Danny Partida added 12 and David Mansell had 11.
