WILLITS — Ootie Lane hit five free throws in the fourth quarter as St. Helena was attempting to rally and Danny Partida scored a season-high 29 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead the Clear Lake junior varsity boys” basketball team past St. Helena 61-48 in a first-round game Friday afternoon at the Willits Tournament.
Brandon Helms had eight points for the Cardinals (5-0) and Lane finished with seven.
