LOWER LAKE — The Lady Trojans Winter Classic girls” basketball tournament tips off Monday and runs through Wednesday at Lower Lake High School.
Eight-team varsity and junior varsity brackets feature first-round games on Monday, consolation and winner”s semifinals on Tuesday, and final-round games on Wednesday. The varsity field consists of host Lower Lake, Kelseyville, Middletown, Cardinal Newman (Santa Rosa), Vintage (Napa), Northgate (Walnut Creek), Piner (Santa Rosa) and Healdsburg. The JV field consists of Lower Lake, Kelseyville, Middletown, Cardinal Newman, Vintage, Northgate, Cloverdale and Healdsburg.
Monday”s varsity schedule has Cardinal Newman vs. Kelseyville at 10:30 a.m., Vintage vs. Lower Lake at 1:30 p.m., Northgate vs. Piner at 4:30 p.m. and Healdsburg vs. Middletown at 7:30 p.m. Monday”s JV schedule has Cardinal Newman vs. Kelseyville at 9 a.m., Vintage vs. Lower Lake at noon, Northgate vs. Cloverdale at 3 p.m. and Healdsburg vs. Middletown at 6 p.m.
Lower Lake”s varsity girls take a 5-1 record into their opening-round game today at the Orland Tournament.
