LAKEPORT — Third Friday Live at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre takes on a local youth theme at 7 p.m. Dec. 16 with Matt Weiss, formerly of the Lost Boys, and Tajie D and K-town. The Soper-Reese Community Theatre is located at 275 S. Main St. in Lakeport.

Weiss is from Lakeport and is currently studying music at Chico State University. He will be joined on stage by Jacob Gill, guitar and background vocals; and Thomas Cano, bass and background vocals. The group will perform a wide variety of music from pop, hip-hop to a couple of country songs.

Tajie D and K-town are all graduates from Kelseyville High School (Tajie D, Class of 2009; Preacher Man, Class of 2010; and JD, Class of 2011). They have won several Northern California awards including Mendocino County”s hip-hop risings stars of 2010 and first place in Mendocino County”s Rising Stars. They been invited to Los Angeles to audition for “America”s Got Talent.”

Tajie D and K-town also opened for the Lost Boys in April 2010.

Tajie D is currently attending Full Sail University out of Winter Park Florida for music production. Tajie D and K-town”s focus is to make sure their fans dance, cry and open their hearts to their songs. They want to show their listeners that if they follow their dreams they can achieve anything.

All seats for “Third Friday Live” cost $10. Tickets can be purchased online at www.SoperReeseTheatre.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the Travel Center in the Shoreline Shopping Center, open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1265 S. Main St. in Lakeport; or at the theater box office, open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and for two hours before showtime on the day of the show, 263-0577.
