WILLITS — St. John”s Lutheran Church in Willits hosts its annual “Sing-along Messiah,” 7 p.m. Dec. 24 at 24 Mill Creek Drive. The program includes an opportunity to sing favorite Christmas carols.
The “Messiah” was composer, George Friderich Handel”s most successful and best-known oratorio. Choir and orchestra members hail from both Mendocino and Lake counties.
Soprano soloists are Debra Mather of Willits and Melody Ishihara of Ukiah. Alto soloist is Sarah Arbuckle of Kelseyville.
Kevin Moore, tenor, hails from Willits and Geoff Rice, M.D. is the bass soloist.
Orchestra members are Holly Fagan, Laura Smith, Sienna S”Zell, Darin Smith, John Hester, Cathy Hall, Paul Bennett and Darrin Michaels. Performance pianist is Elizabeth MacDougall. Rehearsal pianist has been Jann Franklin.
