LAKEPORT – The jury trial of a Nice man accused of stabbing two people at a gas station is set to begin in early February.
Ronald James Blesio, 34, remains in custody at the Lake County Jail and faces six felonies and several special allegations for the incident.
Authorities allege Blesio stabbed two men during a fight at the Shell gas station in Lakeport during the early morning hours of June 12.
He reportedly remained at large until being spotted by a Lake County Sheriff”s sergeant during a traffic stop in Kelseyville in late October.
Blesio was ordered to stand trial for the charges following a preliminary hearing earlier this month.
He was arraigned during a court appearance Wednesday, pleading not guilty to all the felonies and denying the special allegations, according to court records.
Judge Andrew S. Blum scheduled the trial for Feb. 1, according to court records. Blesio”s next court date in the case is set for Jan. 17 for settlement and trial-readiness conferences.
