LAKEPORT — The City Council made a number of appointments to area commissions, committees and boards during its meeting Tuesday night at City Hall.
Incumbents Ann Blue, Suzanne Russell and Cindy Ustrud, the only applicants for the three vacancies, were voted back on to the Lakeport Parks and Recreation Commission.
The council reappointed Carol Hays, George M. Linn and Nina Marino to the Lakeport Economic Development Advisory Committee.
All six people will serve two-year terms expiring at the end of 2013.
Mayor Stacey Mattina also appointed council members to serve on commissions, committees and boards. All council assignments will be the same for 2012 as they were in 2011.
Council members Tom Engstrom and Suzanne Lyons will sit as non-voting liaisons on Parks and Recreation. Engstrom will have a similar position with the Lakeport Main Street Association.
Mattina will remain as a non-voting member of the Lakeport Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Councilman Roy Parmentier will be a liaison for the Lakeport Fire Protection District. Engstrom and Mattina will serve as alternates.
Mattina and Parmentier will continue sitting on the Lake County/City Area Planning Council, holding voting positions. Lyons will be the alternate.
Mattina will be a liaison on the county Solid Waste Management Task Force.
Councilman Bob Rumfelt will continue on the Lake County Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Service Authority, the Indian Gaming Funds Committee, the Invasive Species Task Force Committee and the Clean Water Program Committee.
Lyons will be the only council representative on the Clear Lake Advisory Committee.
For the Local Agency Formation Commission, Lyons will be the voting member with Rumfelt serving as an alternate.
Parmentier will be on the Lake County Airport Land Use Commission. He and Rumfelt will remain on the city”s Investment Advisory Committee.
Lyons and Mattina will continue sitting on the Lakeport Unified School District Committee.
All assignments are for one year.
